This course introduces the basic concepts of client/server computing. Students will examine the components, technologies, and system standards involved in client/server computing. They will gain an understanding of client/server systems by participating in a course-wide project in which they perform a client/server feasibility study for a hypothetical company based on its IT profile.
This course requires a Java-enabled browser (Netscape 3.02 or later, Internet Explorer 3.02 or later). It also requires a computer running Windows, Macintosh, or UNIX.
