This collection includes the following four Web-based course bundles:

- UNIX Essentials Featuring the Solaris 9 OS (WSB-119)

- Intermediate System Administration for the Solaris 9 OS (WSB-239)

- Advanced System Administration for the Solaris 9 OS (WSB-299)

- Network Administration for the Solaris 9 OS (WSB-399)

    Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
  • Perform fundamental command-line features of the Solaris environment, including file system navigation, file permissions, the vi text editor, command shells, and basic network use.
  • Perform the essential tasks of standalone installation, file system management, backup procedures, process control, user administration, and device management.
  • Understand how to maintain Sun systems, configure and troubleshoot the Network File System (NFS), and configure the Network Information Service (NIS) environment.
  • Describe the concepts of Internet Protocol (IP) routing, Domain Name Service (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration (DHCP).
