The DHCP, DNS, and an Introduction to Network Management Tools course in the Solaris 8 Operating System TCP/IP Network Administration series describes the characteristics of the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and explains how to administer DHCP with the appropriate commands. This course also describes the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Domain Name System (DNS) and explains how to set up and test DNS servers with the appropriate commands.
