    Course Outline/Details

The Solaris 8 Operating System: Managing Files and System Processes course focuses on file management. This course describes the directory tree structure, navigation within that structure, and manipulation of files and directories. Managing permissions for file security is addressed, and archiving and backup commands are reviewed. Additionally, the types of processes that run on a system are defined, and students are given an introduction to managing these jobs.
