Sun Java Desktop System Administrator Bundle (Enterprise Version)

    Course Outline/Details

The Sun Java Desktop System Administrator Bundle is a group of Web-based training courses that introduces the Sun Java Desktop System to technical support professionals, system administrators, and end users. The Sun Java Desktop System features and functions are described in detail. Installation of the Sun Java Desktop System is discussed with a focus on hardware and software requirements. Basic system administration, including common problems and troubleshooting tips, are included. The GNOME desktop environment is described and used throughout the course. The three most commonly used desktop tools: the Evolution E-mail client, the Mozilla web browser, and StarOffice software are discussed in separate courses. Each course provides the conceptual information necessary to use and provide basic support for these products.
