The Sun Java Enterprise System 2004Q2: Installation and Getting Started course provides students with an overview of the common architecture and system-level features of the Java Enterprise System (Java Enterprise System), describes the installer architecture and the pre-installation and post-installation processes, and explains how to troubleshoot Java Enterprise System shared components during the installation.

This course also covers introductory knowledge and skills necessary to deploy, upgrade, and migrate to the Java Enterprise System. With the help of hands-on labs, students should install the Java Enterprise System and perform a minimum configuration of the Java Enterprise System.

The course does not include server-specific design, installation, configuration, or administration training. Other Sun courses provide server-specific training and are listed online at the following location: http://suned.sun.com/.

This course requires a browser that is capable of either Flash or JavaScript technology.
