    Course Outline/Details

This course, An Overview of the J2ME Platform, provides students with an introductory description of the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) and its component parts. By reviewing the current configurations, profiles, and standard extensions students are provided an overall awareness of the J2ME architecture and the technological fit of this software platform in mobile computing. The course also addresses how the software layers integrate to provide a coherent application environment as compared to other mobile frameworks.

This course does not cover the following topics. Many of these topics are covered in other courses offered by SES:
