Sun ONE Messaging Server 5.1 Installation and Administration

    Course Outline/Details

The Sun ONE Messaging Server 5.1 Installation and Administration course describes the differences between the 4.x version of the Messaging Server product and the 5.1 release. The course presents a procedure for installing the product on systems that have the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS). In addition, the course includes a hands-on exercise for migrating from the previous version of the product to the latest version. Finally, the course presents simple administration procedures, such as using the console and setting basic configuration values. Although designed primarily as a skill-building course, this web-based course provides an overview of messaging services and explains how they are provided through Messaging Server 5.1.

To complete this course online, you will need the following:

  • A web browser, such as Netscape Navigator 4.0
  • A color monitor with a resolution of at least 800 pixels
  • Internet access (ability to reach http://www.iplanet.com)
