Sun Java System Web Server 6.1: Installation and Configuration
The Sun Java System Web Server 6.1: Installation and Configuration course introduces students to the new release of the Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 (formerly Sun ONE Web Server). Product features and functions are described in detail along with an overview of the Sun Java System Web Server architecture. The course also provides the conceptual information necessary to administer and configure the Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 product.
Through self-paced interactive lessons, students learn to install the product on a typical Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS), and perform common configuration and administration tasks.
Students can either take this course online or download it to a local system.
Please note: Sun has recently re-branded Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 to be Sun Java System Web Server 6.1. You may see reference to either name within the course description and course materials.
Flash and JavaScript are required.
To view this course online, students need the following:
One of the following web browsers: Netscape Communicator 4.7x, Netscape Navigator 7.x, Mozilla 1.x, Internet Explorer 5.0.
JavaScript enabled in the web browser
Cascading style sheets (CSS) enabled in the web browser
To complete the installation portion of the course, students need the following:
Sandbox Sun SPARC workstation running Solaris OS 8 or Solaris OS 9
Minimum of 256 megabytes (Mbytes) random access memory (RAM) per central processing unit (CPU)
750 Mbytes of free disk space
