Sun ONE Identity Server 5.1: Installation and Configuration
The Sun Open Net Environment (Sun ONE) Identity Server 5.1: Installation and Configuration web-based course provides students with the fundamental concepts of identity management and the Sun ONE products that support identity management. This course focuses on Sun ONE Identity Server 5.1, formerly known as iPlanet Directory Server Access Management Edition 5.1 (iPlanet DSAME) and is also referred to as iPlanet DSAME in the course content. The course begins with an overview of identity management and why it is an important part of today's business infrastructure.
The course then presents the products of Sun ONE Identity Management Services, offering detailed descriptions of the features and architecture of Sun ONE Identity Server. It presents a detailed procedure that teaches students the fundamentals of installing both the product as well as the Policy Agent Pack on systems running the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS). The course continues with a demonstration of basic administration processes and setting basic configuration values. While designed primarily as a "SkillsBuilder" course, this web-based training course provides an overview of identity
management and how it is provided through Sun ONE Identity Server.
The course is designed to be viewed with Netscape Communicator 4.7.
